Hoylake sits at the tip of the Wirral with the promenade at one end of the town and the station at the other, and in between a high street of cafes, eateries and gyms. It is where ShiftWorks began in 2019, and today it is home to two of our four buildings. If you live on the peninsula and have been working from the kitchen table, this is what you would be joining.
Getting here
Hoylake station is on the Wirral line, a few minutes on foot from both buildings, with Liverpool Central around half an hour away by train. Members drive in from West Kirby, Meols, Heswall and across the Wirral, and there is free on-street parking outside Market Street and Lake House.
Market Street
27 Market Street is the original ShiftWorks: a coworking space with private offices, a meeting room and a boardroom, a kitchen and breakout area, lockers, a living wall, and a roof terrace for the days the weather allows. It is dog friendly. A flex desk is £120 a month for unlimited weekday access, a resident desk with access around the clock is £180, and private offices start from £400 a month with every bill included.
Lake House
Around the corner on Lake Place, Lake House is a house of private offices for businesses that have outgrown a desk. Each office is furnished and serviced, there is a reception for visitors, a boardroom for clients, a kitchen, biometric entry and CCTV, and office members have access around the clock. Registered business addresses start from £20 a month and are included with every office.
Who you will find here
Freelancers and consultants who want a short commute and a professional address. Founders building something with one or two colleagues. Remote employees whose head office is somewhere else entirely. And, increasingly, established Wirral firms that have moved out of a leased office and into a serviced one.
A typical day
Arrive after the school run, make a coffee in the kitchen, take a desk by the window. Book the meeting room for an eleven o’clock call. Walk to the promenade at lunchtime, or to one of the cafes on the same street. Back for the afternoon, and home before six. The building is staffed Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm, and resident desk and office members come and go whenever they like.

Meeting rooms when you need them
Both buildings have rooms that anyone can book by the hour, half day or full day through our online calendar, from £20 an hour, with screens, Wi-Fi and refreshments included. Members have room use built into their plan. The meeting rooms in Hoylake page has the detail.
A Wirral address for your company
If you do not need a desk yet, a registered office or business address at Market Street or Lake House starts from £20 a month, with a locked mailbox and post sorted, scanned or forwarded. It is the usual first step for people who later take a desk. See virtual office on the Wirral.
The easiest way to decide is to spend a day here. Book a tour of Market Street or Lake House, or ask about a day pass, and see the coworking and office options in detail.
